Garlic potato wedges and beer crock pot chicken
So I stole both of these recipes off of pinterest but I modified them both a little.
The potatoes are time consuming to make but I have a feeling there's a much easier and faster way to do it.
The first thing you want to do is take your frozen chicken legs and put them in your crock pot on high.
Pour one can of beef into the crock pot (any kind, I used bud) and add species such as garlic salt, lemon pepper, steak spice, BBQ chicken flavour, whatever you like.
Leave the chicken to cook for about 5 hours.
For the potatoes, start by cutting up 4-6 medium sized potatoes into wedges.
Chop up 8 garlic cloves and put them in a large bowl. Add 6 tablespoons of olive oil and microwave for about one minute. Remove 5 tablespoons of the olive oil and use it to coat the pan. You may want to put some paper down as they tend to stick pretty bad.
Put the potatoes in the bowl with the rest of the olive oil and garlic and toss to coat. You may have to add some more oil.
The next part of the recipe I used says to microwave the potatoes next, but I'm not sure this is necessary. It says to do so for about 6 minutes, tossing half way through.
Next it says to add 3-4 tablespoons of baking powder, some garlic salt, sea salt and pepper and toss to coat. This is to make them crispy, however I find it has an unpleasant taste so I used parky bread crumbs with a small amount of baking powder.
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet and bake at 425 for about 30 minutes.
Once the chicken is done, if it is not crispy on the outside, place the chicken on a baking sheet and cook in oven on broil until the chicken has crisped up.
