Spaghetti and garlic bread

Image
So this is pretty standard spaghetti I just added a few things. I started with two pounds of lean ground beef and I cooked it in a frying pan with half of a chopped onion and three chopped cloves or garlic. Cook until meat is browned. While browning, add some garlic salt, celery salt, Thai seasoning and BBQ chicken seasoning. I used spaghetti sauce from a can but I used two different kinds. I had garlic and herb and a Parmesan cheese flavour. Mix them together in a big pot and add one half of a small container of garlic and herb cream cheese. Cook the noodles until al dente and add everything together. For the garlic bread I used hot dog buns and just spread with butter and sprinkle on garlic salt. Broil in the oven until golden brown and crispy.

Chicken breast, crispy potatoes and fried spinach

Image
I'm going to be honest, this isn't my favorite dish I've ever made. I didn't like the spinach at all but others liked it so as long as you can handle the texture and strong garlic flavour you're good. To make the potatoes just cut about 6 potatoes into bite sized pieces, place them in a baking dish an sprinkle some olive oil, BBQ chicken seasoning, garlic salt, and bread crumbs. Chop about 1/4 of an onion up and put it in with the potatoes. Bake in the oven at 400 for about an hour or until soft. For the chicken you just need to season it and bake it with the potatoes. You make the sauce afterwards. To make the spinach, you need a large bag of spinach, two garlic cloves, and 2-3 tablespoons of butter. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a frying pan and add a half or a third of the garlic and half or third of the spinach (depending on the size of your pan). Fry the spinach until wilted. To make the sauce for the chicken, take a can of cream of mushroom soup, put...

Penne in vodka sauce

Image
I actually got this recipe off of a website but I put my own twist on it. You'll need: Penne pasta Two cans of mashed tomatoes One cup of vodka Four cloves of garlic One large onion Two cups of heavy cream 2 tablespoons of butter Spices to taste Start by dicing the onion and garlic and frying in butter until onion is golden brown. Add vodka and cook for ten minutes Add tomatoes and spices and cook for thirty minutes. Add cream and cook for another thirty minutes. You can cook the pasta during the last thirty minutes of the sauce cooking and add the pasta in near the end to cook some flavour into the noodles. My sauce was runny so I added some flour and adding some cheese would have been great. You definitely need to add spices or it will be very bland.

Roasted vegetables in wine sauce with brown rice and pork chops

Image
This was my first attempt at making sauce with wine, and it was good but I think I would recommend looking up a sauce with white wine instead of red. Start by seasoning your pork chops with Thai seasoning, garlic salt and BBQ sauce and preheating the oven to 350. Bake the pork chops for about an hour. Chop up one red and one green pepper and one onion and put in a baking dish. Add some green beans if you like as well. Season with lemon pepper and celery salt. To make the sauce, mix equal parts of red wine and brown sugar, add some soy sauce and two chopped up garlic cloves. Pour the sauce over the veggies and stir to coat them. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes with the pork, stirring occasionally. Cook some brown rice (I used minute rice) and pour the veggies with sauce over top.

Healthy garlic sauce

So I noticed when I was making the garlic cream sauce that it's quite unhealthy with all the cream - not to mention cream isn't cheap. I found this recipe online in case you wanted a healthier or cheaper version. It uses light mayo and yogurt instead. http://www.easy-recipes.ca/sauces/garlic-saa

Pork in garlic cream sauce with roasted potatoes and yellow string beans

Image
So Kyle and I got a gift card for milestones for Christmas and when we went I had chicken with garlic cream sauce and absolutely love it so I decided to try the sauce with pork. To make the sauce bring 1/4 cup of water to a boil and add 2 tablespoons of crushed or chopped garlic and one teaspoon of garlic powder. Add two cups of heavy cream and one tablespoon of parsley. In a bowl mix together another 1/4 cup of water and four tablespoons of all purpose flour. Add to pot and cook until thickened. Take the pork and season with Greek dressing then coat with the garlic cream sauce. Add some chopped onions for flavour. Bake at 415 for around 45 minutes. You can use the sauce left in the pan to pour over the potatoes too!!! Cut up some potatoes and beans into bite sized pieces and put in a baking dish. I cooked them together so thy they would both have seasoning. Season with lemon pepper, BBQ chicken season, Greek, celery salt, garlic salt and pepper. Add olive oil or butter t...

Naan Pizza

Image
For this recipe (feeds 6) you will need: 1lb of bacon 1 pack of naans (6 pack) 1/2 of a red, green and orange bell pepper 1/2 of a medium white onion 3 broccoli and cauliflower tress (optional) 1/2 large block of marble cheese BBQ sauce of your choice Caesar dressing 6 cloves of garlic To start off, cook all of the bacon so that it has time to cool off before you cut it up. Don't make it too crispy as you will be baking it later on as well; just make sure its cooked and a little brown. Next, lay out each of the naans on a baking pan and spread caesar dressing and BBQ sauce over top (just enough to cover; you don't want to drench it). Sprinkle with any spices you might like to add. I used BBQ chicken seasoning, lemon pepper, and Greek seasoning. Crush the cloves of garlic and spread roughly one clove onto each naan. You can also use garlic paste or garlic from a jar. Chop up all vegetables into bite-sized cubes (or smaller) and spread on top of each naan. Cut up the ba...
