Vegetable onion gravy

Image
This is my first attempt at gravy; I made it because I wanted gravy with my fries but I didn't have any. For this gravy you need: 1/2 of a white onion, diced 2 vegetable (or any other kind) bouillons 1/4 cup of butter or margarine 1 1/2 cups of water 1/4 cup of flour Mix all ingredients together in a pot and bring to a boil. I don't like raw onion so I sautéed the onion first in some of the butter. My gravy also came out kind of thick so you might not need so much flour. It was also a little salty (but I like salt) so make sure you taste before serving.

Cook until meat is cooked thoroughly and the vegetables have softened a little. Put some of the meat and veggies into a tortillas with some sour cream, salsa, tomatoes and lettuce and enjoy. So good!!

Quesadillas and roasted potatoes

Image
I made this really quick for lunch today. For a change, instead of using sour cream and salsa, I used ranch dressing and BBQ sauce. For the quesadilla you'll need: One quesadilla/wrap, cut in half 1/2 of a leftover pork chop or any meat you'd like, chopped About a tablespoon of chopped red pepper Any other vegetables you'd like 1/4 cup of cheese Place all of your ingredients on one half of the wrap and put the other half on top. Bake at high heat or broil until cheese is melted and tortilla is golden brown. For the potatoes, I used the same method as I did with my baked potato, only I used leftover roasted potatoes.

Grilled pita with baked potato

Image
This is a pretty simple recipe and you can either make it for one or for a family. This recipe is for one. For the pita you need: 1 pita wrap of your choice 1/5 of a red pepper, chopped 1/3 of a white onion, chopped One garlic clove, chopped 1/3 of a tomato, sliced 4-5 slices of cucumber 5-7 slices of cheese of your choice 1 tablespoon each of ranch dressing and dill sauce Sauté onions, garlic and pepper until soft. Combine all of the ingredients on one half of the pita, fold the other half over top, and place on a frying pan with a little butter or in a grilling device. Grill until pita is browned and cheese is melted. You want it nice and hot. For the potato, you cake bake it any way you want. I was going it quick, so i used the microwave. Take a half a slice of cheese and chop it very finely and place on the chopped up baked potato. Put back in oven/microwave and melt the cheese. Top potato with some BBQ sauce and ranch.

Teriyaki steak (baked) with roasted potatoes

Image
This teriyaki recipe is the same one I always use, but here's a recap: Put 2 cups of water in a pot and while stirring constantly add: 6 tablespoons or brown sugar One cup of soy sauce 2 diced garlic cloves A dash of freshly grated ginger and bring it all to a boil. Next. In a bowl mix 1/2 cup of water with 4 tablespoons of flour and mix until flour is dissolved. Add to pot and stir until sauce thickens. Turn the sauce down to low and chop up a half of one white onion and add to the pot. Turn to medium and cook for 5-10 minutes. Lay your steaks out in deep baking dishes. Season with Thai seasoning and garlic salt to your liking. Pour sauce evenly over each steak, making sure to flip them and coat them in the sauce. Cook the steak in the oven at 400 until desired doneness. For the potatoes, chop up 6 medium-large potatoes into bite sized chunks. Put in a baking dish and coat with garlic salt, paprika, Greek seasoning, and any other seasonings you like. Top with you...
