Crunchy Mac and cheese casserole with garlic toast

Image
So this recipe is one I just sort of made up as I went: it started out as just pasta and ended up being a sort of macaroni and cheese casserole. You will need: One bag of macaroni noodles Two cans of cream of mushroom or chicken soup One medium white onion chopped finely 3-5 garlic cloves chopped finely 1 tablespoon of garlic salt 2 cups of cheddar or mozzarella cheese 1-2 cups of seasoned bread crumbs or crushed garlic croutons 2 tablespoons of margarine Sauté onions and garlic in a pot in the butter until onions have browned. Add the cans of soup and one can of water. add the cheese and garlic salt and simmer until cheese is melted, stirring often. Cook pasta until el Dante, rinse and strain and add to casserole dish. Add in the sauce and stir until even distributed. Top with bread crumbs and bake in the oven until browned. For the bread you need: Four Indian naan breads 4-5 garlic cloves 4 tablespoons of olive oil 1.5 tablespoons of garlic salt 1.5 tablesp...

Stuffed mexican burgers with crispy potato wedges

Image
This is something my grandmother made once and I sort of observed what she did and tried to duplicate it. For the burgers, thaw one pound of lean ground beef (makes four burgers). Take some of the old el paso taco seasoning and mix it with the ground beef, one lightly beaten egg, bread crumbs (or crushed garlic croutons) and any other spices you like. I had to add some flour as mine was runny. I also fried some onions and added them for flavour but of course this is optional. For the stuffing I just use regular cream cheese but any of the flavored cream cheese would work too, and you can add whatever you want to it. Take 1/8 of the ground beef mixture and make a disk with it, placing a small amount of cream cheese on top. Add another 1/8 of the beef to the top and seal around the sides, pushing the meat together tightly. Do this for all four and shape as desired. BBQ until fully cooked. For the potato wedges I used a similar recipe as the garlic potatoes, but my mom had no gar...

Healthy easy pasta

Image
So I actually made this for lunch, it is really simple and aside from the time to cook the noodles, it's very quick. I had some leftover pasta sauce but I never have just pre made pasta sauce. Begin by chopping up half of a white onion, three garlic cloves, and a small amount of red pepper. Chop finely. Add the ingredients to a deep pan with a tablespoon or tow of butter and sauté until onions are browned. Add the sauce to the veggies, about a cup and a half to two cups. Add a bit of ranch dressing and some cream as well. Chop some marble cheese, about half of a cup, and add to the sauce. Stir and cook until cheese is melted. Add some spices to taste and if it is too thick add some cream. You can do this with any sort of noodle, it really doesn't matter.

Garlic potato wedges and beer crock pot chicken

Image
So I stole both of these recipes off of pinterest but I modified them both a little. The potatoes are time consuming to make but I have a feeling there's a much easier and faster way to do it. The first thing you want to do is take your frozen chicken legs and put them in your crock pot on high. Pour one can of beef into the crock pot (any kind, I used bud) and add species such as garlic salt, lemon pepper, steak spice, BBQ chicken flavour, whatever you like. Leave the chicken to cook for about 5 hours. For the potatoes, start by cutting up 4-6 medium sized potatoes into wedges. Chop up 8 garlic cloves and put them in a large bowl. Add 6 tablespoons of olive oil and microwave for about one minute. Remove 5 tablespoons of the olive oil and use it to coat the pan. You may want to put some paper down as they tend to stick pretty bad. Put the potatoes in the bowl with the rest of the olive oil and garlic and toss to coat. You may have to add some more oil. The next part of...

Teriyaki Beef Stirfry

Image
This recipe is a lot like the last teriyaki recipe that I did, but I changed a few things and cooked it differently. I found this recipe to taste much better too. This can probably feed about 5-6 people, depending on how hungry they are. To make the teriyaki sauce, you need: 3 3/4 cups of water 9 tablespoons of brown sugar 6 tablespoons of soy sauce 3 tablespoons of corn starch 3-5 garlic cloves, chopped 1/4 onion, chopped 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt 1 teaspoon of mustard Start by putting 3 cups of water into a pan, and while stirring constantly, add the brown sugar, onion, garlic, soy sauce, garlic salt and mustard. Dissolve the corn starch in the rest of the water, and add to the mixture. If the mixture is still runny, you can add more corn starch and water. If it is a little salty, add some flour (but once it is mixed with everything, it will be far less salty). Next, cut two pre-cooked steaks into bite sized pieces (you can also used chicken or pork; whatever you like) and pl...

Steak sandwiches and crispy potatoes

Image
This recipe is nice because it uses leftovers. It sucks sometimes having lots of leftovers and eating the same thing for like a week, so if you do things like this it'll seem different. I had two large leftover steaks that were already cooked, along with some sautéed mushrooms and onions. What I did was cut the steak into thin strips to start off. Then I took 4 naan breads and cut them all in half. Next, I shredded some cheese and cut up half of a tomato. I put some ranch and BBQ sauce on the bottom naan, topped it with all of the other ingredients, and put the top on. Bake in the oven for 10-15 min or until everything is nice and hot. We also had leftover baked potatoes, which I cut into coin sized pieces. Next I seasoned them with paprika and garlic salt and fried them in butter until they were crispy. You can also bake them but they don't get as crispy. This was super easy to make and made good use of the food we already had without eating the same stuff all the t...

Teriyaki chicken and vegetables with crispy potatoes

Image
I actually make the teriyaki sauce myself for this recipe, but if you don't want to I'm sure buying it will be the same (though more expensive). I got the recipe for the teriyaki sauce here: http://www.grouprecipes.com/987/teriyaki-sauce.html So you can follow the steps there and make the sauce before starting anything else. Once the sauce is done you can begin cutting vegetables. I used carrots, cucumber, onion, broccoli and radishes, but you can use anything. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is peppers, only because they have a really strong effect on how sauces taste when you bake them in the sauce. Chop up all of your veggies into bite sized pieces and place in a baking dish. Take four medium chicken breasts and season with Thai seasoning and place on top of veggies (you can place a few onions on top to enhance the taste of the chicken). Season the entire dish with garlic salt, lemon pepper, and celery salt, and be sure to mix everything together. Next,...
